ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

In an effort to increase programs hosted by student organizations in Red Zone, the Armstrong Student Center is sponsoring a programming grant for events held in the space. Organizations can request up to $200 for programming supplies or other program-related expenses. Events applying for the grant must meet the following criteria:

• Free and open to the entire ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú community
• Organization must be registered and in good standing with the university.
• Grant application must be submitted at least one month prior to the event date.
• Intended for creative events that use the space in an innovative way.
• Not intended for recurring events or traditional organization meetings.

Process

1. Submit a , at least one month prior to the event. Your application should include a clear, concise budget and marketing plan.
2. The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and a member of the ASC Student Engagement Team will be responsible for reviewing and processing requests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Five events will be approved a semester.
3. Once the requests have been reviewed, the student organization will receive a memo indicating that the request has been approved or not approved.
4. If approved, you will need to work with the Armstrong Student Center Administration team for the appropriate accounting information. If the event has been canceled or funds are not used, the funds will need to be returned to (or will be retained by) the Armstrong Student Center.

All events must follow all Armstrong Student Center building and events policies, and university policies.

Student Organization Responsibilities

• Create programming and coordinate details with the rest of the student organization and the Armstrong Student Center Team.
• Meet / communicate with the ASC team to talk through program details.
• Host program and provide necessary volunteers to help with any related set-up, tear-down, and other event needs.
• Utilizes funds to purchase programming supplies (decor, food, prizes, etc.)
• Promote and advertise the event to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú community (examples include: digital half-screen ad, banners, social media posts).

ASC Responsibilities

• Provides up to $200 to requesting student organization.
• Reserves Red Zone and coordinates reservation logistics.
• Helps promote and advertise the event to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú community.
