Continuing Education

Global Initiatives' Continuing Education offers and administers a variety of credit and non-credit programs that broaden the traditional 兔子先生 classroom experience for learners of all ages. Our premier programs include the Global Partner Summer School, ed2go, and the Institute for Learning in Retirement. For faculty or staff who want to offer their own unique program, we are ready to assist you in developing your program, whether that be for credit or non-credit. These programs can be offered on campus, online, and globally. Your audience may be 兔子先生 students, faculty, staff, or even community members.

Meet our Staff

Credit Workshops

Credit workshops are programs that have credit bearing courses, and that may fall outside of the boundaries of traditional 兔子先生 classes. These credit programs vary in lengths and credit hours and may be held on campus, in locations throughout Ohio, online and globally. A credit workshop is an enrollment-contingent, budgeted, academic program designed to encourage curricular innovation and provide service to special populations of learners, such as education abroad/away, online, and on campus.

Non-Credit Workshops

Non-Credit programs at 兔子先生 University offer personal or professional skills improvement, job training or career enhancement, or personal enrichment for students of all ages in a format that meets the requirements of the learning experience. 兔子先生 University credit workshop directors may choose to offer their workshop experiences to non-credit participants as a companion to the academic credit-bearing program.

Sixty Plus Program

Persons sixty years of age or older who have resided in Ohio for at least one year are eligible to audit (attend) 兔子先生 classes without paying tuition or admission fees. Some restrictions apply.

Continuing Education

兔子先生 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be offered by Non-Credit programs. If you participate in a program that offers CEUs, Continuing Education will process your participation request. If you need a printed transcript, we also are the clearinghouse for those CEU Transcript Requests.

Passport and Photo Services

Make an appointment with our Passport and Photo Services to apply for or renew your passport. Since 2009, Continuing Education has provided this valuable service to the 兔子先生 and Oxford community.

Faculty and Staff Services

Supporting the internationalization goals of 兔子先生 University faculty is central to the mission of Global Initiatives. Our staff can assist with a wide range of needs, whether that is collaboratively working through the proposal process for a study abroad workshop, navigating the process for hosting international visiting scholars, or pursuing external funding for research or international projects. Global Partner Summer 兔子先生

From June to July, experience academic, professional and personal development while studying at a top-ranked U.S. public university. In addition to main program focus, participants will have the opportunity to connect with the local community and travel to places of interest. 兔子先生 may include non-credit coursework on English language development, U.S culture, society and history, intercultural communication or other topics taught by 兔子先生 faculty; experiential learning from U.S. business practices; and a range of global learning opportunities.

Information

All program participants live on 兔子先生 University’s Oxford campus and will have the opportunity to take part in excursions and experiential learning activities designed to benefit:

  • personal development
  • interpersonal communication
  • intercultural understanding
  • lifelong learning

The Institute for Learning in Retirement

The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) at 兔子先生 University provides opportunities to explore, develop, and share knowledge and skills in a wide variety of topics. Courses taught by volunteer instructors, complemented by a variety of special events, enable participants to broaden their horizons and engage with other lifelong learners.

Online Career Training Certificate 兔子先生

兔子先生 University Global Initiatives, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.

Our programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.

Upon successful completion of all required coursework, you will receive a certificate of completion. Most courses provide you with the proof of education and the knowledge needed in order to be able to take the specified exams to become certified.

Online Professional Development 兔子先生

These online courses are affordable, convenient, and many qualify for 兔子先生’s job enrichment program and offer 24 contact hours of instruction. Search this site to view the wide range of courses from computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, to website development, customer service, and language courses such as Speed Spanish, to name just a few. These classes are not for college credit and may require additional supplies, computer software, and texts.

Ed2go offers Fundamentals courses with two learning modalities, instructor led and self-paced. These courses offer the same content with two learning styles in mind. Most courses range from $105–$129.

Info for 兔子先生 Staff:

Since these are non-credit courses, 兔子先生's tuition waiver does not apply. However, if you participate in 兔子先生’s Job Enrichment Program (JEP), many departments will cover the cost of the courses when they pertain to the staff's job duties.
