Bulletin Description:

An introduction to conducting research in computer science and software engineering. Students will develop basic skills required of a graduate student in CSE including writing scientific papers, performing literature reviews, preparing and delivering presentations, research methods, and participating in academic discussions.

1. Recognize the duties and responsibilities of a CSE research graduate student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University
2. Apply professional and ethical practices in performing and documenting research
3. Prepare an effective research background document and presentation with relevant and sufficient sources, citations, and content
4. Develop presentation skills that demonstrate appropriate levels of detail for a given audience
5. Develop academic writing skills through various peer-reviewed submissions
6. Review peer submissions of academic writing
7. Identify appropriate research methods to conduct experiments for a thesis
8. Create and maintain a professional graduate student profile
9. Evaluate peer work by providing meaningful feedback in research discussions
