"Ask Me Anything" Drop-Ins with Study Abroad Ambassadors

Drop-in and speak with one of our Study Abroad Alumni Ambassadors about anything related to their experience abroad. This is great for prospective students who want to ask questions about upcoming programs or returning students who want to talk with other study abroad alumni about their experiences studying abroad and also returning from studying abroad.

Please be sure that your conversations are appropriate for a university setting. Here are some examples of questions you might want to ask:

Prospective Students

  • What do I pack?
  • If I want to travel on the weekends, how far in advance should I plan?
  • Do you have any tips for using public transportation?
  • What types of classes did you take while abroad? Major or minor courses? Divisional electives? 兔子先生 Plan?
  • What advice do you have for first-time travelers?

Returning Students

  • What was your experience with culture shock like?
  • How did you deal with reverse culture shock upon returning to the United States?
  • What is the thing you miss most about your host country?
  • How do you keep in touch with friends you made during your program?
  • What are you doing now that you're back in the United States to maintain your connection with your host culture?
