OT36 (formally known as the Ohio Transfer Module or OTM) is a subset of general education courses that, when taken in its entirety, is guaranteed to transfer from campus to campus and provides a student the means to make substantial progress on general education requirements.

How does OT36 relate to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan?

Below is a table that summarizes all of the credit that transfer students coming to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú will receive if they complete OT36. To receive ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan course credits, they may complete the entire set of OT36 requirements or only some of them. 

Note: Because the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan Signature Inquiry Requirement (9 credits) can be met by Perspectives courses that have SI designation, we assume that students who enter ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú with the OT36 completed will have also met the Signature Inquiry requirement in full.

Proposing Courses for OT36

Each component of Ohio Transfer 36 has particular required outcomes which are similar (but not identical) to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan.  ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is required to propose ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan courses that meet the required outcomes to be included in the OT36, and the process for proposing appropriate ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Plan courses for OT36 is very similar to the process used for Transfer Assurance Guides.  

To propose a match, each faculty member will need to assemble the following:

• Detailed and current syllabus with week-by-week or day-by-day schedule, student learning outcomes, assessments, and grading distributions from summative assessments included as a minimum;
• Course Details Template which includes course number and title, term when course was first offered, credit hours (including contact hours for lectures, labs, and others), pre- or co-requisites, catalog description, textbook ISBN, outside readings and materials, instructional goals or objectives, description of assessment or evaluation of learning;
• Learning Outcomes Template which includes a list of the required statewide learning outcomes for that component of the OT36, a general description of how the course meets the outcomes (e.g., references to language in syllabus) and a detailed description for students’ learning process (e.g., activities/exercises, specific exam question, assignment) that clearly articulates how the students in that course will meet each outcome. Note: The outcomes for OT36 cannot be changed.
• Documentation (attachments) which includes examinations, quizzes, homework, assignment prompts or other material that was were referenced in the Learning Outcomes Template. 

The associate provost will provide a copy of the two templates to complete.
