The Department of Applied Computing and Engineering Technology brings together computing, information technology, engineering technology, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing into one collaborative academic home. Our programs are designed in partnership with industry to ensure graduates develop the technical expertise, critical thinking, and adaptability needed to thrive in today's rapidly changing workforce.
Students can choose from bachelor's and associate degree pathways that provide multiple entry points and opportunities for advancement. Learning here extends well beyond the classroom. You'll work with industry-standard technology, collaborate on real-world projects, complete internships or cooperative learning experiences, and tackle senior capstone projects that solve authentic engineering and computing challenges. These experiences help you graduate with both the technical knowledge and practical experience employers seek.
Our bachelor's degree programs include concentrations in Applied Science Engineering Technology; Information Technology; Cybersecurity and Networking; Electrical, Computer, and Robotics Engineering Technology; Electromechanical and Automation Engineering Technology; and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Students can further customize their education through specialized areas in networking, software development, Agile methodologies, and other emerging technologies. Majority of our Engineering Technology programs are ABET-ETAC accredited, reflecting our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
