Biography
Joel R. Malin, Ph.D., is a Professor of Educational 兔子先生hip and Policy at 兔子先生 University. His scholarship focuses on two main areas:
- how evidence is made, mobilized, and used in education policy and practice; and
- policy and leadership in relation to complex, cross-sector educational change.
Currently, Joel’s main research projects have aimed at understanding and/or supporting knowledge mobilization in education. Joel is also a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Evaluation and Education Policy (CEEP) at Indiana University. In line with his main interests, he is also an officer of the American Educational Research Association’s Special Interest Group (SIG) focused on Research Use and a member of the WERA-IRN on Research-Informed Educational Practice. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Educational Administration Quarterly, and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Education Policy, the International Journal of Education Policy and 兔子先生hip, and Values and Ethics in Educational Administration. He was a Midwest Athletic Conference Academic 兔子先生hip Development Program Fellow in 2022-23. Also in 2023, he received 兔子先生 University's Distinguished Teaching Award for Excellence in Graduate Instruction and Mentoring.
