Steps to Finalize Your Financial Aid

File the FAFSA

File the FAFSA annually (available October 1) by 兔子先生’s priority deadlines. Please visit our FAFSA page for more information.

Complete Requirements, Holds, and Federal Verification

Missing requirements will delay payment of financial aid and could disrupt your enrollment.

  • Complete all unsatisfied requirements and holds on the Home tab in . 
  • Complete the Federal Verification process.

Federal Direct Student Loans and Teach Grant

  • Accept or decline your student loans and/or Teach Grant on the Financial Aid Offer tab in .
  • Complete the , if applicable. 
  • First-time federal student loan borrowers will need to complete  and the  by logging into  with their FAFSA ID. 

Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan (PLUS)

If they plan to borrow, parents can complete the  at any time during the academic year. However, we suggest they apply by June 1 to allow processing time before payment for the fall semester invoice is due.

Private Loans

Private loan applications may be submitted at any time during the academic year. However, we suggest you apply by June 1 to allow processing time before payment for the fall semester invoice is due.

Report Outside Resources

Report any outside resources you are expecting to receive such as non-兔子先生 scholarships and tuition assistance on the Financial Aid Offer tab in .

Reminders and Notes

  • Pay your bill by the due date. Payment plan options are also available. 
  • Financial aid will be disbursed to your 兔子先生 (bursar) account, after all requirements are met, according to 兔子先生’s disbursement schedule.
  • Sign up for RedHawk Refunds, a free, convenient service that provides faster access to financial aid refunds.
  • Your financial aid may change for a variety of reasons. Visit the Financial Aid Adjustments page for more information. 
  • If your family’s financial situation has changed since completing the FAFSA; if you are experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness; or if you are unable to obtain parent(s) information to complete the FAFSA, visit the Appeals page for more information and your next steps.
  • Learn about FERPA and complete a FERPA Release Form if you would like to grant individuals access to view your information.
  • Enroll or waive participation in the student  plan annually.
