Internship experience

It was a research internship, and it was amazing. I'm glad I got it. Everyone has a research project of their own. I had a very awesome mentor. She was working on a therapy for necrotizing enterocolitis, which is a disease that affects premature babies. So, what I did was to find out if this therapy really worked — to find out the changes and the difference in the cells. It was an awesome summer. My mentor was amazing. I learned so much from her. It was a lot of networking, and it was a lot of building my social and professional network.

Relationships built on campus

I have found really good friends here at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. Being able to find tight-knit friends here on ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's campus — lifelong friends — is one of my highlights of being here. I've only had professors that genuinely care about the growth and the learning of their students. It's just amazing. That's one of my favorite parts about ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. The professors are always very willing to help.

Because of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

Because of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, I am able to compete with other peers from top universities. My internship program was a very competitive program. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú has opened a new set of opportunities for me, and I'm grateful for that.
