Offering associate and bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice as well as classes that provide the foundation for law school and other graduate school programs, the Department of Justice and Community Studies also supports majors based on the Oxford campus. Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice
With our associate degree in Criminal Justice you can pursue entry-level careers within the police, courts, corrections, or enhance your knowledge base if you are currently employed within the criminal justice system.
Double Major in Criminal Justice and Social Work
As a grad of this double major you are eligible to seek state licensure in social work and employment in a wide variety of professional settings including courts and legal services agencies, residential treatment programs, community-based rehabilitation centers, and criminal offender diversion programs.

Our Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation minors pair well with numerous majors and gives you the core foundation in these fields to enhance your career goals.

The Corporal Olivas Valor Award was established for Criminal Justice majors who have completed at least 15 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú credit hours.
