Cincinnati Public Schools and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University's TEACh Cincinnati program, designed to address the teacher shortage and increase diversity among educators, is expanding. A recent study highlights the $700 billion needed nationwide to offset academic setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the TEACh program providing academic, social, and financial support for students pursuing teaching careers, aiming to fill the teacher shortage and enhance diversity in education. Teri’ana Joyner, a program graduate now at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University, emphasizes the importance of having teachers who represent diverse backgrounds to inspire students and address the shortage of educators who look like her.
